Welcoming Your New Companion
Most dogs will need some level of training or re-training
At German Shepherd Rescue New South Wales, we understand that most dogs will require some level of training or re-training to adapt to their new household and become beloved family members. Adopting a dog is a lifelong commitment, and we want you to feel confident that you can provide your new furry friend with the time, patience, and love they truly deserve.
Assessments
Before joining German Shepherd Rescue New South Wales, all our rescue dogs are met by a volunteer to assess their suitability to be rehomed. This process ensures we have the most comprehensive understanding of their temperament. Rest assured, each dog in our care is desexed, vaccinated, and microchipped before they are ready for adoption, or if they aren’t fit or too young to be desexed that will be arranged when the dog is healthy enough.
We are here to help!
Rest assured, we are here to support you every step of the way! Our experienced volunteers and our Behaviourist stand by your side, assisting your family as you welcome your new dog into their new environment. But our commitment doesn’t end there; we remain available to offer support and guidance whenever you need it. At German Shepherd Rescue New South Wales, we are dedicated to ensuring a seamless and successful adoption process for both you and your loyal companion.

What Happens Next
This Application Form is designed to help us source the best possible homes for the dogs that we rescue. It does not guarantee the adoption of a dog from German Shepherd Rescue New South Wales.
If your questionnaire is approved then a ‘yard check’ may be completed by a German Shepherd Rescue volunteer or photos of your premises requested. If your application is successful, the adoption fee must be paid in full prior to the release of the dog.
Please continue to check our group on Petrescue www.petrescue.com.au/groups/10411 and also our Facebook page
www.facebook.com/groups/369139316788745 as we regularly add new dogs that are looking for a new home.
Thank you for applying to adopt a rescue dog and save a life.
